Real dive bar with all the basics

I took a trip to West Texas and spent a half-day in Alpine. After dinner, we stopped by Harry's Tinaja for a drink and I'm so glad we did. Harry's is a casual bar that represents everything you would want in a local bar. The owner is European and he opened this bar many years ago. As a result, you'll see European brews on the menu, including a good variety of German beers (or biers), in addition to local brews. Once the owner found out that we were out-of-towners, he went out of the way to introduce us to some locals at the bar to make sure we were having a good time. That's the type of service you don't see very often. Harry's has a casual interior with a lot of memorabilia on the walls and a patio. Make sure to grab a drink while you're out on the town in Alpine!
