I just left this place. Spent $60. In my order, I asked for 2 3-piece fish. Lady was nice enough to show me it was cheaper to get 6 piece. I thanked her. I asked for both (lake trout/whiting) Cajun seasoned with green peppers/onions. When my order was done, I asked for extra Cajun seasoning and you would have thought I asked for my tip back! The cashier had to ask the manager!!!! REALLY. I hate when our establishments show how cheap they can be. As I KNEW when I got home. I was SO DISAPPOINTED. The fish had no taste and the bread was too burnt to eat. They wouldn't even throw it away! There was only enough peppers/onions for 2 fish (mostly green peppers). The other location had served me unseasoned fish some months ago. This location no better. They must understand we want SEASONED fish, at least I do. The barbeque was good but cold. I had to heat to eat! The kids enjoyed the chicken. I won't be back.

I ordered The large BBQ sandwich and completely disappointed in what I received.I use to go to Hawks BBQ back in the 80s and 90s and they gave you real food!I can not believe the minced up pork I received on a flat soggy bun..That is not real pulled pork as advertised on their websites. Just go look at the picture! This is not the Hawks from back in the day.I guess everyone is just trying to make money, but give people a good product! That minced meat pork sandwich was not worth $2.00Much less almost $8.00 for that mess! They should be embarrassed! Take a lesson from Mission BBQ. They know how to cook, prepare and serve Bbq!

I was going to go to Firehouse subs next door and then I saw the handmade sign for Hawk's BBQ. I noticed the handwritten menu and knew I had to try it out. I noticed all the customers and staff had a deep country drawl and the staff looked like someone's crotchety aunt or grandma. Jackpot! Good eating, guaranteed. I got the crab cake dinner which had 2 of the best crab cakes ever. They would draw raves at a 5 star restuarant. Only complaint, they were on thin white bread and should be on hamburger buns or Texas toast. Hush puppies were really good too. I give the ambiance a 1/10, but I came for the food, so 5 stars.
