Overall this was a terrific experience. They staff helped me find a beer I liked...says alot because I am not a beer person. Helped my friends as well. The popsicles were over the top. We 2 two Mexican chocolate and a rasberry. It didn't sound at all good to put the popsicle in my beer. Did do some dipping. The popsicle was worth it even if you didn't like the beer. Had tacos for lunch...excellent. They have different trucks and vary the food day to day. Love the idea. Will try again.

I love a nice stout on a brisk autumn or winter day. I had the chai stout here. This one has a lovely flavor, if not a particularly robust body. And though I love a tasty paleta on a balmy spring or summer day, I was extremely delighted with this chocolate one (courtesy of pop fizz) in mid-November. It has that wonderful hint of cinnamon you get from the Mexican hot chocolate, with the texture of a fudgecicle. I ordered a big-ol kombucha to go, but haven't tried it yet. Waiting for the right time to try to consume 32 ounces of kombucha lest I leave it to go flat overnight (they use crowlers - that is, big pop-top cans - rather than resealable jugs, don't ya know). I also bought one of those super soft vintage looking blue shirts for my pal... terrific $25 Christmas present for the microbrewery fan on your list! Two downers: no small def-leppard-style tank tops, and no resealable bottle for the to-go kombucha. One questionable policy: dogs allowed on (not at, on top of) the patio table (kinda gross, man). One "am I se...

You know what every town in America could use more of? Neighborhood pubs. Here in America we'd probably call them bars, you know, because we can't seem to do the right thing with any European concepts, i.e. renaming futbol "soccer" or the flat an "apartment". American English butchers everything, even the crisp became the potato chip, suggesting potential injury. And so of course, while the rest of the world enjoys conversation and pints at the pub before walking home to bed, we Americans drive our cars to bars to drink cocktails. We could use a whole lot more pubs. High and Dry Brewing is one of now many small craft breweries that have popped up around the 505 that I consider classic European style pubs. It's the kind of spot you want to visit with your mates, grab some fish 'n chips from the food truck, and ask the beertender for advice with taps. In my experience the Pale Ale was far more mature than the Stout, that's the kind of thing you expect from a neighborhood pub, some standouts and some misfires. But the real reason you're visiting is for the conversation, the short walk from home, and around here, the weather. This place has a big patio, something you'll rarely find on the other side of...
