This place is a serious step up from the national chain steakhouses nearby; it's local (one of four), with genuinely good food. The chili is delicious, the onion strings are real, the shrimp salad is improbably fresh and yummy, the chopped sirloin is excellent (yes, get it medium; they won't overcook it). Definitely get the brown gravy. We stuffed ourselves so I can't say anything about the desserts.

We were staying in Amarillo overnight on our way home from Colorado. We decided on Hoffbrau due to the reviews. Let me start by saying, they aren't terrible at all. Our waitress was nice, everyone there was nice, but it felt very similar to a Texas Roadhouse. I ordered a ribeye and a lot of it was gristle. My husband loved their ranch though so much that he skipped the steak and got their Rainey Salad. I'd definitely go back if we are ever in Amarillo again.

????. We had excellent service. We had reservations @7pm and got seated right away. There were 15 of us. From catfish, steak salad to two stepping and chopped sirloin steak we all enjoyed our meal. Thanks HOFFBRAU STEAK & GRILL HOUSE❗️⭐️5 stars
