We got take out this evening and could not be happier. The owner was so friendly and suggested some additions to our order (queso!! and take out margaritas- both highly recommend) which we were pumped about. I can’t believe it’s taken us this long to order from here. We’ll be back!

While strolling through Amesbury, I decided to stop in at Hoppy's Cantina for takeout. The place is just that, a cantina with full bar which serves up Mexican fare (handmade burritos, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, appetizers) and drinks (margaritas, cocktails, beer). I ordered a Chicken Burrito ($10 plus tax) which was a soft flour tortilla stuffed with braised Southwest pulled chicken, rice, black beans, crema, shredded cheese, hand rolled and grilled on two sides. The burrito was well made with good flavors from the pulled chicken and the other ingredients. I would come back here for the appetizers including the chorizo bites.
