This has been in my bookmarks for awhile, and finally visited for a business mixer. Nice, upscale vibe -- almost a little too upscale. The bites served during the mixer were tasty, too bad there wasn't more served but I'm sure that was an organizer-choice. Very disappointing this is only a beer & wine bar! Unsure if I will return.

A longtime fave of ours. The amendment of the beer list as taps are changed often stops the lively conversations—so many devout beer lovers in the room. Also, big praise for the owners allowing well-behaved dogs inside. Our gregarious Lab loves to be around the merriment.

I have been patronizing the Hopvine Pub for over fifteen years, and it has yet to disappoint me. Their beer selection is excellent, and the staff is friendly, personable, and warm. The atmosphere is open and well lit with tables near the windows. As an additional bonus, they have comfortable wooden booths, and if you want to sit somewhere away from the fray, you can sit comfortably on a long table and chairs near the rest room. For the three weeks we have of sun in this dismal town, the pub places two picnic benches on the street. The food is well made, with the soups being the highlight, especially the garlic soup. The golden beet salad, Greek salad, and tuna melt are also outstanding. There are only a few minor issues, for me. I think the barstools are rickety and uncomfortable, and I wish they would build a covered patio in the back...
