They do fine work during different times. The food is quite good. The mood/vibe varies.

Be careful with these women bartenders. $79.00 tab got charged a 250$ tip when it was a 25$ tip. All because this man did his math wrong because she over served him. I brought this to Jarrods attention he said he would refund me. I went in for a refund and he said Billy Baldwin told him not too because "this waitress has gotten a 200$tip before" . I'm sorry it takes the mind frame of a 16 year old to serve a beer. I highly doubt her pouring skills were that memorable. Unless she's doing other "servings" 250$ tip is ridiculous.

My second time in this tavern. The nacho's blew me away the first visit as it exceeded my expectations. The nacho's are loaded and it was hot. The service was good, but could be better. For the second visit, my wife gave me a choice between this establishment or the Boxing Bear. I chose "The Horse & Angel Tavern" because if the nacho's were awesome the other food must be that good or better. I was very disappointed the second visit. It started with poor service. There are only two waitresses that service the entire tavern. The same two serviced the entire tavern the first visit. So my guess that is the entire customer service staff. It wasn't even that busy when I was there about 3:00 pm on a Saturday. But it took forever, it seemed, to get any service. You ask for one thing it would be what seemed 5-10 minutes later for the waitress to come back. It started with the food menus, then no drink menu and had to wait for that, then when we did order an appetizer and drink it seemed 30 minutes had already passed. I knew what I wanted to drink when I sat down and ordered it right away. My wife did not. When the waitress brought me my drink I ordered some onion rings. My wife had to ask for drink menu a second time. We got the onion rings luke warm, it seemed they had forgotten about us. Then I had to go to the bar to get plates and silverware. I don't like luke warm food, especially if I am paying for it. We ordered food. Again, it seemed they forgotten us. My BGC was again luke warm and fries basically just warm to cold. If I am paying for a burger and fries to eat at the restaurant, I want the food hot, hot, very hot. The BGC wasn't that great anyway compared...
