Hot Chicken Republic in Pomona

I got the chicken sandwich combo, I was sick for 2 days. I had stomach aches and chills. I've never had that before until I tried the chicken here. Wouldn't go back

It seems like these days, Hot Chicken restaurants are popping up left and right. Its hard to know exactly where to go, especially when many places seem to be copying others. Well fellow Yelpers, this is where Hot Chicken Republic differs from the rest. I visited the restaurant yesterday as I just so happened to be in the Pomona area. My intentions were to go up the street to another chicken place, however, I just happened to look left to notice this new place I had never seen before. As I walked in, I was promptly by a very nice employee named Nannette, who graciously took some time to tell me about the menu, as well as letting us know what the most popular items are. Upon deciding on what to get, I ended up going with the slider and tender combo. As with most hot chicken restaurants, you get to choose your designated heat level. For the slider I chose the medium heat level, and for my tender I decided to go with the hot heat level. The food took about 10 minutes to cook, where Nannette brought my massive meal out to me. Yelpers, let me tell you, the menu may say a "slider:, however what you get is a massive sandwich that will leave a huge smile on your face! The slider consisted of two huge chicken strips seasoned and fried to perfection, their house sauce, house made pickles, and a house made slaw. The combination of flavors really was a taste explosion in my mouth. The medium level was my favorite, as I found myself sweating with the hot tender I chose.
