Hot Spot Jamaican American Cuisine is one of the most consistent Jamaican food spot in Albany. There are spots in Albany that can give them a run for their money on different dishes, but it's always a hit or miss with those places. When they (other spots) get it right, they get it RIGHT. But you almost have to hope it's an on day for them and the most reliable cook is the one in the kitchen. But, every time I go into this restaurant I can expect a reasonable wait time (under 10 minutes), a better than average customer service experience, and HOT and FRESH food. In terms of what to order, I would definitely recommend trying their curry chicken and stew chicken dishes as a start and then explore from there.
