I don't eat a large variety of food and I get a couple of dishes here that I really enjoy but the chicken fried rice is amazing. I live about 30 minutes away and I drive past a dozen other restaurants just to get their chicken fried rice. This isn't a flashy place but there's just something about a restaurant with a bar inside that just makes the atmosphere interesting.

Ordered today And there was hair in my food. The eggs are all looked as if they were old and the food did not seem fresh. I ordered from here all the time and I can honestly say I cannot go back after this incident

Hunan Star is perfect and I will hear no slander about them. I know at the end of the day that they're really just another local Chinese takeout place, but I've been coming here for over 20 years at this point and they've never done me wrong. They're a mainstay of the Clear Lake area, and that deserves a lot of credit.
