Of course the sun does shine in Alaska but I have to say it never really gets warm enough for my dog, Peter, to truly get hot. Despite the misleading name, this restaurant does wonderful sausages in long bread. I like the ones with onions on top.

Myself and 3 coworkers took a nice walk downtown to the International House of Hotdogs (IHOH) to try some gourmet dogs. We were not disappointed. I ordered a German Dog with the garlic fries and a Pepsi. The dog came with a flavorful brat with onions, sauerkraut, red bell pepper, and drizzled with brown mustard. The soft bun made the perfect vehicle to deliver all these flavors into my mouth without falling apart. The garlic fries came out hot and perfectly seasoned. The chipotle dipping sauce was a nice touch for dunking the fries. The service was fast and friendly. If you are looking for a top notch gourmet hot dog in Anchorage, you owe it to yourself to try IHOH. I will be coming back for more.
