Ishoni Yakiniku in Seattle

They've definitely did a flip on ambiance and feel. From a hidden secret hole in the wall, to a posh upscale fine dining venue. Key differences was the charcoal grill plate. Instead of having the grills brought to you and sit above the table, it is now part of the table, but still charcoal goodness. Safety is much better now if dining with small children. Price is surprisingly just a smidge above when it was in Bellevue.. but I also think because the meat size and dish sizes has decreased a tiny bit... the beer size was the biggest change! Haha but I'm not complaining at all. The taste and quality was still impeccable! Definitely worth going once in a while! I can't wait for them to reopen a Bellevue location!!

This is a fantastic Japanese BBQ place. The meat quality is top notch.They're gonna cook the Wagyu stuff for you because, you know, they're expensive.We got the meat platter with many different cuts of beef. The beef tongue was better than some other place that I've tried before.All of the other meat cuts were great. They're all so tender. Honestly nothing to complain about the meat cuts here. Ishoni yakiniku is a really authentic and great Yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) place! I've tried several really good yakiniku places in Tokyo, and this place is as good as or even better than those top yakiniku places. We've ordered ishoni yakiniku combo; although it's a it expensive, we can try different parts of beefs and is enough for two. We also love how their presentations. Highly recommend if you want to try something special and really tasty there! If you are going to this place, probably it's safe to make a reservation beforehand.
