We were going to go to Seattle Fish Guys. Didn't feel like waiting in the long line and remembered Catfish Corner was right across the street. Hadn't been since they used to be located on Rainier I think right next to a car mechanic I think. Dad and I both got the catfish sandwich. Staff was friendly, made a mistake when I was ordering the gentleman handing me the food was understanding and generous. The catfish is light crispy, like everyone else states the crinkle cut fries are nicely seasoned. That remoulade is definitely winner. I don't usually dip my fried in anything but found myself dipping them in the remoulade was also great with the hush puppies. I also like that they include a container of vinegary hot sauce. Definitely would do a plate sometime to try the sides.

FRESH, light, crisp fried catfish for both the strips and sandwiches. The sandwich is FILLING! Lightly breaded, NON-slimy okra and airy, spiced crinkle fries, all accompanied by their almost as famous savory Remoulade sauce. EVERYTHING needs the remoulade, including the potato salad. It's good, with the relish base but needs a touch more savoriness. The Collards NEED work. Bland, tough and the Smoked turkey wasn't smoky. No flavor at all. Also, the Red Beans (Pintos) and Rice had an almost acrid but very bland flavor. Hush Puppies would've had good onion flavor IF they weren't fried to stones. Service was efficient and food STAYED hot until we settled appx. 30 minutes later. Overall, a DEFINITE MUST while in Seattle! They're continuing their legacy remarkably WELL!

Have been excitedly waiting for this place to open after learning they sold their location in Skyway. We went to the grand opening and it was so awesome to see the community come out to support an amazing black-owned business. This business is going to thrive!! On to the food: - fried catfish: perfection. I am from Texas and have high standards for fried food (which there is a severe shortage of in the PNW lollll). Breading is light, fish is flaky and juicy. - fries: crinkle cut and well seasoned! - cornbread: delicious. Sweet and "hits the spot" according to my husband. - tartar sauce: it's addicting. Order extra!! - sweet tea: wow. Love Jackson's take on it. It has some lemon or something in it that gives it a great different spin. We will DEFINITELY be back :)
