So after having a long & stressful week at work, I mentioned to my coworker that I heard of a bar that does karaoke on Sunday nights. After having sushi for dinner at Tomomi's, we decided to check out Jay Dee's to get a drink and enjoy the live music. As I went inside the bar, I immediately knew we were going to have an interesting time because I was wearing my Atlanta Braves cap right after they defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers. We were immediately asked to show our vaccine record which surprised us, but we were cool and provided our proof. Then, we found a table and ordered our drinks. After finishing them, the bartender notified us they only accepted cash! Ok, now I don't know for to feel about the bar until an older Dodgers fan came up to me and asked why I was wearing a Braves cap. After talking to the gentleman for a few minutes, my coworker and I started enjoying ourselves and decided to do some karaoke. I was so nervous but I didn't care. I just want to have a great time with my friend. I did an older song and she did a song from the 80's. At the end of the night, it was a great time and I'll definitely return, WITH CASH!

My friend suggested this place because I was craving breakfast and thanks to him now know of this amazing spot in town...the vibe of this place has history and is in split between a sports dive bar & breakfast/lunch bar. There are both bar seats on each side and a few booths available. We got there just in time to have their steak and eggs & POZOLE...and both were delicious. My friend grabbed coffee from the bar side...food was on point and seems like we will most likely hit up this spot again. Thanks for staying open for us hungry hippos especially during this crazy pandemic and open today on a Sunday!

I found this place not far from my job. It's one of those old time taverns, similar to the one my late father used to frequent way back in the 20th century. The food is decent and reasonably priced. The beer is ice cold, as it should be, and on tap. The service is decent and friendly. Occasionally I'll bring my wife with me, but more often than not I go there for a Men's Nite Out with a former co-worker that I've kept in touch with over the years. That is OUR go to place in Alhambra to hang out and have a few beers. The pandemic has, I'm sorry to say, put a stop to this. Once the lockdowns end and we can all start hanging out again, you can be certain that you'll see me and my buddy having a few beers there. One thing to note: CASH ONLY!
