I was in Abilene, Kansas, to spend a weekend with a dear friend and to tour the Eisenhower Presidential Library. There aren't a lot of places to eat in Abilene, Kansas, because, well, it's the middle of Kansas. We did manage to eat at every non-chain restaurant in town during our stay in Abilene and Joe Snuffy's was the clear winner. This restaurant is very nondescript - the building leaves much to be desired, especially from the outside, but don't let that fool you: the food is delicious and the service is fantastic. Joe Snuffy's was the only restaurant we ate at twice during our stay in Abilene - we came for lunch and we also came for breakfast. The food is home cooked, and they do offer alcohol, if you're looking for a mid-afternoon pick me up. I had their "basic" break...
