If I were a mutant, I would give JR's Smokehouse THREE thumbs up. I was the fortunate recipient of an entire smoked pork butt and brisket — both of which were the equivalent of two-and-a-half Christmases at once. Both cuts were almost unfairly moist; I have yet to clean up the juices that spilled on my countertop because I'm still savoring the aroma. James's slow-and-low Alabama smoking yields tender meats that rapturously marry both a robust flavor and a subtle tang.
