Kabobistan in Arlington

Food was fresh. Chicken was well done. Chickpeas had a light sauce and not sludge (like some other places).

Yelp should stop endeavoring to convince people that they should risk their health and theow away their money by going to establishments whose ratings are now 100% FAKE. It is dangerous to believe tourism has returned and that people are honest and will not feed you old/spoiled/incorrect food just as happened to my husband and I with Kabobistan. The person who answered the phone tried to pretend he is the same one cooking while lying and lying AND LYING in regards to our food. I was not even dissappointed by his lies... "chicken and lamb are the same to me"; then why did you give my husband chicken instead of the lamb ordered. The restaurants do not want to admit to the inaffordability of lamb/beef and are reluctant to inform their customer so they are just giving something different without your permission. The shrimp in my meal was rubbery and tasteless (GRILLED? in PLASTIC!) I know old food. The shrimp was most likely left out and then sat and then was refrigerated and THEN given to me to actually consume. I was a traveller and I was famished. Dishonest. Their service is beyond unprofessional. Bottom line up front, they stole money from me and, when given the opportunity to make it right, declined to do so. Quick Summary: I ordered food from their location on Columbia Pike a little before 7p, using their online ordering system. Thirty minutes later, I stopped by to pick up my order and was told they had no record of it and that it was probably sent to their location in Annandale. Frustrated, I drove out to Annandale where I was told they had no record of the order either. Assuming there was a tech issue and the first order would be reversed, I begrudgingly paid a second time for the food in Annandale and went home with a meal. Later that evening, at a quarter to ten, I received a call from their Arlington location asking me if I was planning to come in and pick up my order! Seriously? I explained what happened and, was told "The food's still good. Just come and get it and have it for lunch tomorrow." I declined and that was the end of it. ... or so I thought. Days later I discovered the original charge stuck and I was billed twice for the same order. I disputed the charge with my credit card company, who reached out to Kabobistan's Arlington location to investigate.
