Kai Ramen was excellent. Among the best in LA as far as Ramen goes. The food was top notch and atmosphere was very nice and relaxing. The staff was friendly and attentive. I had the veggie broth which was delicious. My hubby had the volcano ramen and said it was the perfect amount of spicy, whatever that means . My son had the tonkotsu broth and enjoyed it quite a lot. My sister and I came here for the first time at the beginning of the pandemic while we were waiting for our dad to get out of surgery. I was in a really stressed mood so I was definitely ready to stress eat! Unfortunately, I read the time wrong and we showed up an hour before they actually opened. An employee kindly told us to come back in a few and they would be ready to take our order. We decided to wait in my car in the parking lot and just relax on our phones until then. I could see the employees pulling up for work and getting the shop ready to open. Throughout the pandemic, I saw many employees at different restaurants ignore guidelines like not wearing masks, not sanitizing, not taking it seriously, etc. However, I was happy to see how well they were complying with the COVID guidelines. The employees were keeping their masks on, talking to each other from across the room, and cleaning everything around them, even when there were no customers around.
