Ordered a lobster sub for my boyfriend with high expectations. I’ve always heard the seafood is great here. As you can see in the photo we were both highly disappointed to open this after waiting almost an hour for a pickup order. The lobster was cold, and whoever prepared this must’ve thought putting fries in the sub would make it more aesthetically pleasing. No lettuce or cheese like advertised on the menu. The fries were so heavily drenched in oil they weren’t even edible anymore. To make things better the hostess was rude upon arrival and took forever to acknowledge me even though I was the only one in the waiting area. I wasn’t even greeted. I do NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone. If you want quality seafood take a trip to Schermerhorn's in Holyoke.

While my server couldn't be more gracious, professional, and Covid protocol conscious, Kaptain Jimmy's didn't measure up. First off, their soil-resistant burgundy-colored fabric napkins give off such a stench that one's stomach will turn. Nor sour smell, filth stink. They all need to be professionally stripped of their odors. Not hard to do, but gross if not done regularly with industrial napkins. Secondly, I ordered the fried spring rolls as an appetizer. Great looking on the outside, but they still had ice chips inside. Back they went. Next up, dinner salad w blue cheese dressing. Mushy halved cherry tomatoes and several wilted and gooky-edged greens which I picked out. Otherwise edible but not remarkable. On to the boiled lobster dinner. The lobster was tender but flavorless. The mashed potatoes were ok, the butternut squash was also ok. But nothing was excellent except the server. As far as the decor goes: seems like a dirty Disneyland. Fake wood beams that are supposed to look like trees, and lots of ugly Christmas decorations and inflatables. There were other diners there and each table was over 10 feet away from any other party. This place is fine for a night of casual music and drinks in the other room (which isn't happening because of the lockdowns), but I'd skip eating there again.
