A friend suggested we try Khao Thai in search of good Thai in the area. This is so great!I had green curry with Tofu…delicious and beautifully served. The server was very helpful and left out certain ingredients for my friends and listened to my level of spice attentively. After 3 years in the Asheville area, I have finally found my happy place For Thai…. Now, I just wish they were closer to my house

Hands down my favorite Thai place in Asheville. I've searched all the Thai restaurants in Asheville and nothing compares to Khao Thai cuisine! The presentation, atmosphere and flavor profiles are that of a five-star restaurant. The prices are reasonable. One person can have an appetizer, entree and dessert for under 25 dollars. I will definitely be eating here again!

This Thai food was not good IMO. Flavors were not authentic, got the pad see ew which is one of my favorite dishes, and they didn't even use the correct wide rice noodles or Chinese broccoli that make the dish what it is. Flavor was off and tasted like basic Chinese stir fry. Also the mango sticky rice dessert, the rice was really chewy like it had been reheated and came with no coconut sauce. Perhaps I am spoiled because I lived in Thailand for a long time and I am a chef, some may like this Americanized Thai food but I want the real thing.
