Killen's STQ in Houston

The atmosphere was excellent and so was the service. I also had their old fashion which was probably the best I've ever had. The only reason for 4/5 stars was because my dry aged ribeye was cooked medium even though I asked for rare. I would recommend giving this place a try if you're looking for a date spot or just a nice dinner.

The BaBQue was really good.  The ribs are superb.  Links can not be touched.  The service was awesome and the sides for the food is one of the best.  That's and you will be seeing me again.

Made a reservation for my husband's birthday dinner a week prior to our intended visit to Killen's STQ (Voss location/Houston). The night of our reservation, received a call from the hostess, then a call from the manager, saying they had overbooked and wanted us to move our 7:30pm, reservation to 8:15pm. The manager left a voicemail and said that he would buy us a round of drinks or appetizer or dessert for our inconvenience. I called back, asked to speak to the manager, but the hostess intervened and asked if we were the reservation they wanted to move to later. I told her, yes, we would arrive at 8:15pm. Arrived at 8:15pm, and our table was not ready. Wait was not long. Manager never even approached us even to thank us for our trouble of arriving later than we had planned. It was very rude. Plus, we felt lied to and that the manager only "promised" us drinks or appetizer or dessert to get us to change to later because of their mistake in overbooking. We will not be returning ever again. K/STQ does not value their patrons evidenced by this encounter. The food is very good. That is the only good think I have to say about K/STQ. However, it is not good enough to offset the poor service/empty promises.
