Friendly staff, hot food, food value for money. The food was not the best that I have had but it wasn't bad either. Plates were brought out one by one and one person had enough time to complete a meal before the second plate came out. I did not like that.

I do not want to leave any bad review for any business. However, I need to tell you that it's not a safe place to come. At least three people I know slipped and fell on the floor yesterday. The floor was greasy and wet, but there was no warning sign, no floor mat, no apologies, etc. It was especially dangerous because they were elders. Not recommended!

What'd up? It's Mark the Reviewer here back with a review on Kim Son, a dim sum place located in Houston. Dim sum is a bit difficult to review since you get so much variety and different food options. I will say that the overall experience was great and the service was quick and friendly. The food itself all passed my requirements for good dim sum. Nothing stuck out as bad or weird. Off the top of my head: I really enjoyed the shumai and rice noodle rolls. The custard filled buns were good but we got both the liquid and solid fillings and the liquid one felt very sweet for some reason. The spinach was alright but I'm also not the biggest fan of vegetables at dim sum. The bbq pork bun and the congee were mediocre to me but that might just be a preference of some dim sum over others. I spent $18 and I was more than full at the end and there were still a good amount of leftovers remaining. I'm unfamiliar with the dim sum in Houston but I'd imagine there are a lot of good places to choose from so I'd say this is an above average establishment.
