We only eat buffet at Kim Son since it carries a wide variety of Vietnamese and Chinese food for $17.50 pp. Love the noodles soup bar and desserts bar. Almost all dishes are tasty except the workers don't understand English. We wanted less in portion but they gave so much. We dislike wasting food even it's a buffet. One suggestion is to give less so there is potential less waste and customers can try more options. The workers at the noodles bar also don't take special orders like no cilantro (allergic to that) as they didn't understand English. Hope the standard practice is to have soup and customers can just add condiments on their own.

I have been trying new places and stumbled across reviews for Kim Son. Parking was easy and there was no wait to be seated. Our server was very nice. My favorite thing was the soup station. I ordered Tom Yum, which is my absolute favorite. My husband's favorite was the beef & broccoli and noodles. Many options and very easy to order. I went for lunch on a weekday and felt that $16.95 was a very good value for the number of options and quantity.

Never have I had of Vietnamese dim sum before but this restaurant does not disappoint. While the dim sum options are quite limited, the har gao and buns are very tasty. The noodle bar is so cool - you choose a soup and they prepare it fresh. You can't really go wrong with any soup, each one is authentic and hearty. Also so many seafood options - snails, shrimp, fish. There were so many different varieties of shrimp - fried, baked, sautéed, etc. My favorite part was the desserts, snow cones and the traditional chewy ice dessert. Plus ming bean cakes and sponge cakes! I wish I had a second stomach to get to try everything.
