Kountry Kitchen in Abbeville

Was closed but had a line for carryout. It was a quaint little restaurant and the smell of food was inviting, but I moved on to the Iron Rail in Cordele.

It was excellent as always. Best catfish around!

Loved it! The catfish was amazing along with the hush puppies. Service was outstanding. Can't wait for my next visit.

Best ever.  They stayed open for me, and said they'd make me whatever on menu.  Got there on Sunday afternoon after passing through.  Almost missed it, but had been keyed in by a friend who loved it.  It didn't disappoint.  Fried chicken was perfect, rice and gravy classic, black eyed peas good, and cornbread was fantastic.  I needed this, it was like natural music.   Very much a Mom's kitchen.

REAL southern food, tastes delicious!

Stopped here yesterday while passing through. We ordered a double cheeseburger and a two piece chicken box.  After 45 minutes we got up and left--never did get our food.  The bathroom was out of paper towels too.

The Kountry Kitchen has the best food in the tri county area. Friday is Shepards pie day and I get mine with corn on top. It is so delicious. Just like everything including the fresh brewed Sweet Tea

Stopped to take off rain gear. Friendly lady from inside was taking a break & told us how great the food is. She didnt lie either. Ribs & chicken were both great...sides were almost like grammas cooking.In the middle of nowhere gem.

Always absolutely great fried chicken. Best in Georgia. You would not think that this place was good eww hen you see the outside but all the food is terrific. It is the go to place for the county workers during the week and the place to go for Sunday lunch after church. Great peach cobbler

This was a stop on the way... we stopped because we knew the food must be good by the line.  The ladies at the counter went through the line quickly.  The food is home cooked southern food!  Yum yum!

We were passing through and stopped by here for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by how good they were. The fried chicken was pretty good and the sides acceptable. Giving it a 4 for surprising us as we were expecting to end up having a bad meal.

Mrs. Ophelia's has some of best fried chicken I've tasted (and I've had my fair share of fried chicken mind you). Nice local family operated establishment. Not a whole lot to offer in regard to dining aesthetics but makes up for it in tasty country cooking. Friday night offer freshly fried seafood but tends to get busy so call ahead.
