May 16, 2019 "Fried Chicken" from a Liquor Store? Yes, I said that right "Fried Chicken" from a Liquor Store. I guess if you want to be like "Ludacris" then you can really get your "Chicken and Beer". But the concept as weird as it may be to some, is something I'm pretty use to having lived down south (Not LA, the real down south). I remember in my younger years my mother having worked at a gas station in "Arkansas" and her bringing home "Fried Chicken" and me loving it. Now being older and discovering "Krispy Krunchy" it's like a blast from the past. Honestly this franchise chain is the perfect solution for those that get the "Drunchies" (Drunk/Munchies) because this isn't some stale "Taquitos" it's real food fast. And here is what I thought about it overall.... Krispy Krunchy Chicken: This location sits inside "Joe's Liquor" off D street in Antioch. Serving up the good stuff daily, I never expected in a while to be writing about Liquor Store chicken that is pretty tasty..for what it's worth. The chicken quality was what you would expect to get from one of the big chains with the exception of the storefront. The workers at "Joe's Liquor" stated to me that they cook the chicken on site and make 2 - 3 batches and sides daily depending on the supply and demand. I took a look at the men...

No place around here carries this chicken with pride. I miss the bay. Chicken was ok. Sides were awfully hard and salty. I will stick to cooking my own chicken. Don't bother with this spot.

I went back a few days ago and the nice lady that use to fry the chicken doesn't work there. The food looked old and I was told now they're only allowed to fry it at certain times. Plus the Indian people running the store are rude. I've smiled and said hello everytime I walked in, only to have both of them scowl and then look away....smh....so I don't feel bad taking my money somewhere else.
