I ordered 3 items via Uber Eats. One of them (Sichuan boiling tofu and blood tofu combo) smells and tastes bad. Seems that blood tofu goes bad.食材不新鲜,毛血旺闻起来吃起来一股臭味,血已经坏掉了。

The reviews were def 50/50 but our friends and I decided to give it a shot and I was impressed! We got the dried fried hot pot chicken and the tofu eggplant stir fry. Both had tons of flavor and was super yummy. Our dried fried hot pot chicken tasted like popcorn fried chicken, and our friends got the non-fried & it was a little weird Bc it's small pieces of chicken but it had the bone in. Also it's Sichuan so there's spicy peppers everywhere and they will make your mouth very numb after! I would try that hot pot fried chicken again for sure.

Visiting from New York, a couple friends encouraged me to try Kuan Zhai Alley, as I’m a big fan of Sichuan cuisine—this local gem is not to be missed. Old favorites like Walnut Shrimp, Mongolian Beef and Twice-fried Pork, feel updated, fresh, and appropriately priced. I’ll definitely give them a try for takeout too!
