My mom always said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but I hate to hurt lunch or dinner’s feelings. Even Snacks, which are the stepchild of meals, have feelings too. They’re like my 4 kids... I love them all equally. Every once in awhile, I have a meal that - between you and me - makes me love that meal just a little bit more. Kumo Asian Kitchen has me playing favorites for lunch today. The food is fresh. The portions are excellent. The menu picks highlights from China, Japan, Thailand, and other Asian Nations, and Eric, the owner/chef does each cuisine with so much skill that you’d think he had multiple mothers from multiple Asian countries who all taught him how to cook as a child in their kitchens. The Bento Box was perfect. Excellent meat and veggies, with a salad, choice of rice, and a little sushi roll was just enough to have hubby thinking of a nap. My Bowl was packed with my choice of protein (Sushi Grade White Tuna for me) and tons of other goodies. It’s seriously like a half dozen sushi rolls in a bowl. The restaurant is tucked away near the Amscot in an outparcel of the Publix Plaza on 434 just off of Maitland Blvd. It’s close to us since we live by Bear Lake, but even if you have a little drive, it’s definitely worth it!
