Terrible and overpriced!House special chicken mole was a BUST!One chicken thigh, too sweet mole and a pile of rice for $20?Never going back!!!

This place is solid, particularly for outdoor seating! Indoor seating was VERY warm-- there definitely is no AC (it was 80+ F outside) but at least they had fans inside. La Cocina Oaxaqueña is slightly less popular than Fogón Cocina Mexicana a couple blocks up Pine street, which was a huge plus for us because we were able to get seating around 7pm on a summer Thursday evening. The servers were incredibly friendly and loved our big dog. Appetizers: Unfortunately chips & salsa was not free (costs $3), but the salsa was unlimited as self-serve from a salsa bar inside.
