If only there were more stars. I can honestly say LA Fontana is one of Seattle's hidden gems. The food was excellent, and totally unexpected. Try the Cantonella veal dish and you'll compare it to all the veal you'll ever eat.The ambience is perfect and you'll feel as if you're the most important person in the room from the staff attention. Are you in Sicily or Seattle? I will be there at least twice a month.Enjoy

Consistent good Italian food. Been going here for years. Summertime, nice outdoor seating in fountain patio.

With a lovely courtyard, La Fontana Siciliana sits a few blocks south of our apartment.  Last night, we tried LFS for the first time, doing take out. Take out is often difficult for kitchens not used to preparing meals to go.  It is a "whole new ballgame," for many restaurants, becoming prolific due to Covid.  Some great kitchens haven't mastered the art of take out. My assumption is La Fontana Siciliana's food would taste infinitely better if we were willing to risk dining in that charming courtyard. Our Caesar Salads were very good, tasty and restaurant elegant, begging to be served on a plate rather than a bowl.  My veal parmigiana was odd, the pounded veal not breaded.  It was the veal you would taste in a piccata.  Every veal parmigiana I have had in the past was breaded. The piquant tomato sauce was good, but definitively over powering. It was a tasty, but not what I would want for a veal parmigiana. Sicily is renown for its seafood pasta dishes. A pasta seafood dish I had at Giovanni's in Mondello, outside of Palermo, will forever be one of my best meals. Unfortunately, the squid ink linguine with calamari and scallops at LFS was overwhelmed by that same piquant tomato sauce.  It was difficult for my taste buds to discern the flavor of the seafood or the taste of the pasta. I am hoping the over saucing was due to the complications of doing take out.  All the flavors were good at La Fontana Siciliana, but refinement was lost on our food. We will try it...
