la Madeleine in Arlington

I went in searching for a French dip and it was so delicious!!!!!! Plus the potato soup and the basil chicken pasta was so bomb not to mention the breadsticks  definitely our go to from now on. I have 2 kids and they loved their pizza

One of few French-inspired restaurants. Our family favorites are the chicken friand with mushroom sauce, quiche Lorraine, fruit tart, the sachet torte chocolate cake. I used to love their plain Napoleon, but it has been discontinued. Nice calming country European decor & ambience, perfect place to study or just hanging out with bunch of friends. However, the pandemic has affected the service there. Last time I got a take out in November 2021, I stood in line for 30 minutes, while staring at my brown bag of order on the counter, that just needed to be picked up. Apparently, only one person at one particular cashier can (or allowed) to handle pick up order.

Ordered online.  Once I arrived to pick up my order they were so busy.  All the employees were working to fulfill orders and talking with guests.  I overheard another customer complain that she had to wait 10 minutes for her order that looked pretty big to me.  It's Christmas eve,  doesn't anyone have patience anymore.  Thank you La Madeleine for a great meal and dessert for my family.  You all work so hard to make our lives easier with little to zero appreciation from us, your customers.  We love you,  and thank you again for all the work that you do.
