Gourmet comfort food in an intimate cozy setting. We loved it!

Love the addition of Persephone, an atmospheric bar right next to La Medusa. Great selection of snacks, wine and amari. There are shelves with tasty things and local produce to purchase and take home and one can even pick what to play on the vintage sound system from a good selection of records.

They are currently only doing walk-ins and phone reservations for dining in. It was no trouble getting a table for two a day ahead. We had pan-fried shishito peppers, grilled duck breast salad, and pasta with chanterelle mushrooms, corn, and basil in a creamy ricotta sauce. It was all very delicious; the peppers were a tad salty so be sure to use the lemon and order a side of bread (not free but worth it) to have too. The ricotta sauce was just the right amount of creamy without being heavy, merely rich.Dessert was the chocolate torte (GF) and a welcomed way to end the meal.Service was lacking a bit; they've obviously been suffering like all service&hospitality industries have during COVID. I'd say they are short staffed and still training. I don't and can't fault them for trying to stay in business. Please be understanding and patient.A bit pricey and the grilled duck breast salad left me yearning for a duck breast entree but recommended without a doubt.
