My friend wanted a milk shake mind you in the past ive have great service. I was apoulled at the service i recived from the gentlemen that looked about 12 years old working and the fact my order was 2 milkshakes remind you i expressed i did not want milk. I wanted it thick he came back with flavored milk . I expressed i did. Not want it . I was told I could not leave with out payingi never took the item . I decided 2 pay 14.40. For a item I did not. Eat . I wouldn't recommend my dog to eat there.

Ice cream was good..ordered the Ferero Rocher flavor.. but service was terrible. We waited 15 minutes on a sunday afternoon and were not greeted, just expected to have our order ready. There was a definite language barrier...which is fine, but does it make it a little difficult to order what you want. No signs or menu.We ordered a small cone and it literally was what it was. A scoop of ice cream on top of the cone, they didn't fill the cone, just placed the ice cream on top.We were a bit disappointed but it was only $2.50. We would have ordered a larger size as we were sharing one.Either way, it was good but Gelati Celesti has always been my favorite and would be my preference if looking for a place with a bit more customer service and expectations met.

"GET THAT CORN OUTTA MY FACE!!"-Nacho to Eskeleto in Nacho Libre movie. I simply cannot eat corn on a cob without thinking of that movie scene. Folks, LA MICHOACANA is also the absolute best ice cream in Richmond for many reasons, some which I'll mention. Did you know they make their own? All the wonderful myriad of flavors of ice cream and fro-yo are all homemade. While I couldn't have possibly tasted them all, the ones I've tried are incredible. Their paletas or pops are also delicious. I LOVE the coconut one, and one day live on the edge and try their tres leches or the one with the 2 oreos embedded within. I chose the corn on this day because I recently turned on a co-worker to their ice cream and he raved about the corn or "elote." You DO NOT have to speak Spanish as one reviewer stated with 1-star. Had they been patient, used google translate, made an effort, (as one oftentimes has to when travelling abroad), they would have been well rewarded. Go here for the amazing ice cream, paletas, and venture in to the savory land of their delicious street elote.
