This must be said. I ate here again, the newer location 2 doors down. The staff was friendly, but not the other customers. Sitting down to eat I kept being stared at by different families. I was the only white guy there, and everyone else was Hispanic. I eat multi cultural foods all over the place. I've traveled quite a bit, and to other countries, but again I ate here and the vibes were enough to never make me want to come back. As if I was la migra or something. One guy kept stareing so hard I finally just smiled back with a long fixed grin. He finally looked away. The vibes are biased to say the least. I'm a friendly guy, La Morena is not a friendly bunch of customers.

Y'all this place is so good frfr it was a lot of people in there. But the food is great.

This place must have changed since the other people reviewed it. First of all, it's not very clean. Second, the tortillas are NOT hand made. I asked and the woman said she stopped making them two years ago. $7.50 for 3 tacos and they charged $1.00 for a glass of water. I'm also from Los Angeles and I was excited to read the other reviewer's note about the authenticity of the food. This is not the case. It's simply not very good Mexican food.
