The lunch included a soup. I got the gumbo and it was amazing.

It's hard to beat Laurenzo's when it comes to service. The waiters were incredibly helpful and attentive. At some restaurants I will sit there for long periods of time with an empty glass, but here my glass was refilled within minutes of being emptied. It is a small thing but oftentimes excellence is in the details. I will say however that you do pay for this level of service in the cost of the food. The food was excellent to be sure, but I've had the same quality food for much less at other restaurants. My seared Ahi Tuna was delicious but if I recall was about $34-$38. It's a pretty steep price for tuna. It could be that it was a special wild caught tuna, but I don't recall that being highlighted on the menu. All of the items were fairly run of the mill restaurant items but priced about 25 to 30% higher. Fellow table guests had wine and I'm glad to report that the restaurant is not stingy on their portions of wine, so that is definitely a plus. So in other words, go here if you want consistent quality of food and excellent service, and are not worried about the price. The interior is a bit dated and could use a little work. I will also add that their portions are huge on regular menu items for the most part, save perhaps the grilled or seared seafood, which is fairly normal portions for one person. Other menu items that fellow table guests ordered came with at least enough food to feed two or three normal sized people. One last comment, I will say that their unsweetened iced tea was probably the best I've ever had. Amazingly, it was not bitter at all but tasted really delightful. I've never had unsweetened iced tea that did not taste bitter and that you had to swallow with a bit of resolve. Theirs, howeve...
