Had the chicken shawarma wrap. It was almost inedible. Just very dry plain chicken with lettuce and tomato. No sause or natural juice. Very disappointed. Only way to eat it was to go to another restaurant and get some salsa.

I'm not usually one to post negative reviews, but my experience with this restaurant was so beyond the norm that I feel compelled. I visited the Lebanese Taverna Express and bought dinner before a flight I had out of DCA. I ordered a plate that had chicken shawarma, pita, and hummus. The food was terrible, like objectively not good, but that's not even the point. The real problem was that there was something like sand or glass grit in the hummus, and when I bit down on it unknowingly, it broke a large shard off one of my teeth, forcing me to spend quite a bit of money on dental work. I reported this to the store manager right away. When I contacted the company (and eventually reached the conglomerate that owns them, Robinson Hill USA), they referred me to their insurance company, who told me that because I didn't somehow preserve the sand in my hummus (not sure how I would have done that), they would not pay "my" claim because it was "me against them." Of course that is the insurance company's prerogative, but aside from insurance coverage, Lebanese Taverna Express (or, rather, Robinson Hill USA), should take responsibility for the foreign matter in the food they're serving and make it right with a paying customer. They have not done so, and their insurance company treated me like a liar. These people should be run out of business.
