We were traveling through VA and made a night stop in Richmond. It was New Years Day and couldn't find a restaurant open for dinner. We took a chance with this restaurant after calling about five and none were open.  The restaurant has a market attached to it. The little market was a little messy due to restocking. The restaurant: was clean and smelled pleasant. No crumbs on tables or floors. Was busy for a New Year's Day. The food: was good. Very tasty, full of flavor. The salsa that they bring out with the tacos is very spicy .   The service: was good but our waitress didn't speak English. It's ok. Over all everything was good and the prices were even better. I do recommend this place!

So my coworker is on a mission to find and sample "every questionable taco truck in Richmond".  His own words.  On the way to one such place, he saw this restaurant on Route 10, and decided that he wanted to try it out.  So he took me along.   It's a restaurant and market in one building, but they're separated by a wall, so it's not like you're eating amidst the aisles.  Unlike many of the "Mexican" restaurants around, this place has honest to God foods you would find South of the border.  I had the Lengua tacos, and my coworker had the chili rellenos.  Hot, fresh, tasty, and if you dab a bit too much of the salsa on your food be prepared to ask for milk.  This place knows what spice is.  We had horchata to drink with our lunch, and it was perfect. Much better than a questionable taco truck, in my opinion.  But my coworker is a bit...  off....  if you know what I mean.
