Top three meals I've had in my life. The chef guided us through four appetizers and an entrée that my wife and I split. In order of stuffing down our gullets : chicken paté, butternut squash bonbons, Burgundy crab, potato dumplings covered in shaved black truffles (upcharge was worth it). The entrée was scallops with risotto. All of these were mind blowing. The chef suggested a brut rosé champagne pairing was perfect for the meal. We finished the meal with complimentary chocolate mousse. Also delicious. This place is a national treasure.

I made a reservation for Valentine's day dinner. We were received courteously and directed to our table. Then surprise! It was a set menu which was never advertised to us . Horror followed as the only main dish was meat, with no other alternative. This year Valentine's day did fall on Ash Wednesday. The service was the worst we ever experienced. Our waiter could not give us any recommendation on the wine selection, mentioning repetitively that he was a magician and did not really work for the restaurant.
