I recently went to Los Compadres Restaurant to get a takeout order. I had dined in here before and I enjoyed the food and being a local it's hard to find good food in the old town area that doesn't cater to the tourist . I ordered my food and waited and received it promptly and then I asked for some chips and salsa to go since that's what is given to you when you sit down to eat there. I was told by the waitress that that is only if you dine in. I didn't think this was a good way to Market their food. What's the difference if I take it to go or eat it there it's still chips and salsa. I enjoy having chips and salsa with my Mexican food is part of the ritual of eating it. I don't know if I'll ever go back here. Or even recommend this place this was a cheap move to try to save on something that cost them $0.08 even small chains like Little Anita's give you free chips and salsa on food to go. Come on Los Compadres don't be so cheap!
