We discovered this place when friends took us here a couple years ago and have been coming back for margs and tacos ever since. We love coming here when the weather is nice to sit outside. It’s dog friendly so we’ll bring our pooch and sit on the patio! He’s made a few friends here too. 3/5 stars because the menu can be hit or miss - some things that we’ve ordered have been overpriced for the amount of food you get or the flavor/quality. Would recommend the queso dips, any of the tacos and of course margs!

The worst "Mexican" meal I have had was at Los Cuates. I am not sure where they learned to make Mexican food, but this food was bland and more bland. The rice, beans, guacamole, and salsa each needed more seasoning. The beans needed to cook longer, because they were still a little crunchy as well the rice was not cooked properly. The portion of beans was very small as well. The Beef fajita meat was good, but the portion sizes for the amount paid was very paltry. In general the food was just edible. I would not recommend this if you have had great Tex Mex/Mexican in Texas, Arkansas or Louisiana. You will be quite dissatisfied. We asked for corn tortillas, and received all flour tortillas. It was a 70.00 lesson... don't get Mexican/Tex Mex in Virginia!
