Was looking for a Mexican place to eat around town and saw that this place was nearby so I decided to pop in. I instantly felt a homely vibe and was greeted by the friendly waitress. They sell quite the specialty items, many of them regional to southern Mexico. Would recommend the tepache.

Went for a quick lunch and came out spending $27 dollars for a quesadilla and a water with a refill. No wonder why the place was empty.

This was our first time at Los Magueyitos. We arrived about 3pm. There were people waiting to pickup to go orders but no one eating in. We actually were not sure what kind of meat it was. The tortillas were homemade, but thin and a bit dry. The beans were a little runny with little flavor. The rice was good and my favorite part of the dish. She did bring a bowl of fresh chopped cilantro and white onions as well as both red and green sauces. The red sauce had a smoky flavor and was the hotest. The green was less spicy and had a good flavor. My husbands plate never showed up. When asked, she thought we only ordered one, not two plates. It worked out fine because by that time we were sharing my plate and decided we would not care for a second or...
