Great restaurant near the Museums, quick valet and reasonable prices. I only give it 4 stars for the following reasons: 1. Almost zero greeting, we arrived 20 minutes early thinking about drinks, but the bar was full and no waiting area, no bar rail for overflow and it took all of our wait time and another 15 minutes at our table to be served our bar order. 2. Appetizers were excellent but the mains were oddly bland - steamed shrimp (4) over plain grits basically no seasoning - surprising for a southern coastal dish, even the andouille sausage bits were seemingly not sautéed and provided no smokey flavor at all. 3. While wait staff was adequate, service was assisted by several which was nice but we did need to hail our waiter several times for our overdue bar drinks. This discouraged us from ordering a second round. 4. The wine list needs work on some additional lower priced choices. It didn't help that the only choice we favored was out of stock - a Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. Having said all this I will return for another round because I believe the concept is sound, the atmosphere delightful and our enjoyment of the hot appetizers tells me the entrees should be great given a second chance.

Authentic stuff! The collard greens were quite tasty. Could have used more yardbird and less greens - they sent enough greens for two yardbirds! Proportions, y'all. The Brussels Sprouts were on the oily side but tasty. I'll probably call again. I was content.

I brought my girlfriend here for our anniversary one year, we had a great experience. The food was great, and the staff was amazing. Lucille's has become one of my favorite resultants in Houston.
