What a lovely experience.  The ambience is so pleasant and the food and drink are fabulous.  Interesting cocktails, and a nicely selected set of beers.  We shared the liver mousse starter (very nice and interesting with a touch of sweetness from the apricot gelee). I had the buckwheat spaghetti, which was del...

Very, very worth the visit. I was dining solo on a Saturday night and first went to JuneBaby. It was packed, there was a single seat at the bar but it was kinda tight so I decided I'd try my luck at Salare. Salare was even more packed and had a waitlist running so I got ready to go back to JuneBaby and squeeze in. As I was walking, Chef Edouardo Jordan is walking toward me. We chatted briefly, I told him I was from NYC and was excited to experience his creation. He mentioned Lucinda and here I am! I was super hangry and had a headache from not eating all...

I love JuneBaby and Salare, so I thought it was time to try Lucinda Grain Bar. After running errands on a Saturday, I decided to drop by and give it a try. I'm really glad I did because everything was delicious. First, the ambiance and decor is like Edouardo Jordan's other restaurants - tasteful yet warm and inviting. The restaurant is very small as it is more of a bar but it has plenty of counter seating, a small bar, and about 4-5 tables. The service was excellent - like it is at his other two restaurants. I started with a Matchless Hazy IPA, which was really good and not too hoppy. I ordered the buckwheat bucatini with nettle pesto, black walnuts, ricotta and English peas. I couldn't really see or taste the walnuts, but the pasta was perfect nonetheless. I have never made or had nettle pesto, but I'll have to find a recipe because it was delicious. I wasn't planning on eating dessert but ended up getting the quinoa porridge with purple barley ice cream, pepita brittle, and honeycomb candy. So tasty and I'm glad I got it even though I have concluded that quinoa and I don't get along. Overall, I had an awesome experience - great beer, impeccable service, and outstanding food. Love that these three amazing restaurants are in my neighborhood.
