A Dim Sum Place Filled With Meatiness, High Quality, and Great Value. They are the words, among many others, to describe Lunasia Dim Sum House. You can tell that they take the dishes they prepare very seriously, a very strong indication of just how competitive the Dim Sum game is in the San Gabriel Valley (SGV). We are from out of town and decided to order our typical favorites...Lo Mai Gai (Sticky Rice in the Lotus Leaf), Pai Kwut (Black Bean Spare Ribs), Sui Mai (Pork and Shrimp Dumplings), and the Yellow Egg Tarts. The Spare Ribs were huge. These pieces were meaty and chunky. They make Pai Kwut in other Dim Sum places seem like a small set of wooden teeth has been left on a tiny tin tray. Oh my were the Sui Mai huge! They were packed with meat and the size of golf balls. This was an exceptional dish. The Sticky Rice was definitely sticky and gooey. It was over-the-top good. The Yello Tarts, which are every woman's treat, definitely didn't lay a big egg. The edges were slightly burnt just the way I like and were also flakey.
