Makers Donuts in Knoxville

I'm a big fan of Maker's. I would argue to say that they serve the best donuts in the city, and far surpass any chain in terms of quality and flavor. I typically come to Remedy coffee and hop over to next door to get a donut. They serve exclusively cake style donuts. They are very dense, rich and packed with surprising flavor. The ingredients they offer are very unique and have a select few as the shop's limited daily rotation. (My personal favorite flavor is the Maple with Benton's Bacon sprinkles!)

Wow! I just read that Makers is closing. Such a shame; it was the perfect compliment to the coffee next door. I only stopped in once on a quick trip to Knoxville, but I definitely left with more donuts than I intended to buy. They were good!

Makers is a gem and Knoxville's gift to mankind. Like the founders, Sean and Sara Alsobrooks, I also have a deep and profound love for donuts. Typically partial to yeast donuts over cake donuts - but oh my goodness - these cake donuts are absolutely phenomenal!! Perfection and true beauty in every bite!!
