The best descriptor for Mama Juanita's is "staying power."  Little did I know that, when I first ate here in the late 2000s, it was fairly new.  That said, when I asked the waiter (PC-speak: male server) how long they'd been there, he told me 13 years!  They do a good business and, as I ate a late lunch there, both the restaurant and the bar seemed fairly busy. As for Mama Juanita's food, the best way I could describe it is to say it's real "clean" Mexican food.  Someone I know used this term - "clean" - to describe the flavors at a popular Mexican restaurant in Sac-tomato (PC-speak:  Sacramento), presumably meaning that the flavors came through well, that they were at a spot between mild and seasoned that was just right for most people, and that the food was nicely presented.  That's exactly how I found the food at Mama Juanita's, from the first time I ate here to the present. I had a combination with two enchiladas and one burrito, which also featured rice and beans.  I'm glad I didn't select refried beans.  The pinto beans, in a separate cup, were the tastiest I've had at a Mexican locale.  The enchiladas and burrito were also very good.  Two of them had meat/poultry, but one had spinach, which was fine.  I'm just wondering...
