After we sat ourselves at the one clean table, we quickly realized there was No AC. It was so Hot (and we live in AZ) and the one big fan isn't making a big enough difference. My salad wilted before I ate three bites. The ice in our water melted within minutes. While the service was good, the rest was absolutely... disappointing. My boyfriend ordered a $26 T-bone, but was told they were out. So he opted for a ribeye, or what they call a ribeye, but still charged him $26 for it. He did get his $6 back. Honestly, the food at Denny's is better. Calling this place a Steakhouse is a real stretch. With the pathetic steak, we were served some basic fries, nasty ketchup, tiny bowl of frozen soggy corn, and I'm pretty sure my $5 salad was little more than a handful out of cheap bagged salad. We also ordere an $8 prickly pear margarita, served in a little glass and I'd almost bet there was no alcohol in it. A complete waste of money all the way around! Disappointing doesn't even describe the food. We are it only because we were starving and already here.

Absolutely horrible service and food. We had to wait forever for the food, then had to wait again for the check when we really just wanted to leave at that point. Also some guy who drank way too much wouldn't stop bothering the 4 of us girls, was being overly touchy and stopped by like 5 separate times trying to talk to us. We couldn't tell if he worked there or was just a regular customer, either way no one stepped in and asked him to leave, he was clearly over served. Then, we saw the bartender take a swig out of the bottle he was serving to people. Definitely don't bother eating here I don't know how they're still open. Bad experience all around.

The day we were at the Goldfield Ghost Town it was cold and overcast, so very moody and dark. After exploring the town, we were quite cold and hungry. So like any Good Tourist we went into the Mammoth Steakhouse & Saloon. From the reviews I was not expecting much, however I was very pleasantly surprised. The Staff was friendly and attentive and sat us down immediately. I ordered the Pulled pork Sandwich and fries my fiancé had Fried pork tenderloin sandwich. Both arrive quickly and were hot and fresh. The pulled pork was delicious and the French fries piping hot. For desert we had a hot apple pie / turnover and it was great. Look don't go in expecting this to be a 5 star restaurant in the big city. Its a saloon in a Ghost town, the experience was fun and the food exactly what we expected. Enjoy the experience for what it is and you will have a great time.
