The food makes you happy when it's delicious and prepared with care! I had the sashimi platter, tonkatsu, and thai iced tea. Attentive service, food came out hot, prepared well, and visually appetizing. I enjoyed the fresh ingredients - fish, vegetables, refrigerated soy sauce (makes a difference); thai iced tea (lovely presentation); perfectly cooked rice; not to mention clean dining area and dinnerware. With future visits, I will probably try the whole menu at some point.

Just discovered this Japanese restaurant and it's a very pleasant find as it's only minutes away by driving from home. Ordered delivery by Uber Eats and got 1. 3 rolls: California roll, real crab roll and shrimp roll. They were delicious with good quality fillings and the rice has great texture. 2. agedashi tofu: most of the other places I've been to use soft tofu whereas MaMeko used pretty firm tofu, I prefer the softer texture. The dashi to dip the tofu in is pretty good, however, it would have been nice if the restaurant had packed the fried tofu and the sauce separately. It took about 30 minutes from the time is food is ready to delivery, by the time I got it, the crispy shell on the tofu had been soaking for a long time and had fallen off into the sauce. I've ordered this dish togo from a couple of other restaurants and they had packed both parts sep...

Okay, this place is DEFINITELY underrated - I have frequented Sushi Rock for the past several years as my go-to sushi place, but I am admittedly a little tired of it and they've made some menu changes that axed my favorite dish and makes the higher price point for a date night in not worth it. Enter Maneki Neko Express - the first time we went, I ordered the Chirashi. The fish is fresh, the tomago, mushrooms and bamboo shoots are delicious and the sushi rice is perfectly done. Since then, we've ordered the green curry, avocado rolls, the 3 amigos roll, and the green veggie roll - all of which passed my favorite litmus test 'would you get it again?' Best part has also been the pleasant exchanges with the staff. They are incredibly sweet, service forward and diligent in meeting requests or accommodations. I have not dined in during the pandemic, however I get a sense of warmth that would make me want to dine-in for a nice little casual outing.
