So my family and I were driving around LA to find a place to eat. We eventually found this place called Maria's Italian Kitchen. I loved their pepperoni pizza. My mom got a dish that had a name that I forgot, but she absolutely could not stop eating it. I could tell she would come back to this place just for that dish. My family, overall loved this restaurant. I would come back any day

You really need to avoid this unsanitary place.  We were sitting there dining last night and a giant cockroach ran across our table. My daughter let out a giant scream as it jumped onto her then onto the floor.  The wait staff must be familiar with this disgusting practice as they ran over threw a napkin on it and stepped on it.  These are cloth napkins. Which they did not dispose of but tossed in the container that had other napkins. After this not one waiter or manager came to our table to apologize for the situation. We stayed and had probably one of the worst meals ever. Dried out chicken parmesan, something they tried to pass off as a Caesar salad, and cheese ravioli that look like it was out of a can. We went here because we thought this was a well known restaurant organization that we could trust. The joke was on us.  As we were sitting there one of the busboys said this was a normal occurrence.  No wonder they were so well trained on killing the bug and not apologizing it and acting like nothing happened.   It would be in order if the health department paid a visit to all of the restaurants I'm sure this is normal operating practices for them.

I really was craving Italian food, and was severely disappointed by the lack of variety of the menu :( the price was HORRIBLY EXPENSIVE for the quality of food. I am not afraid of splurging for a night out, or service but this was awful. The price for 4 pieces of dry, tasteless bread is $7.50. Which I had to drink a full cup of water to get out a piece that lodged in my throat. My father ordered shrimp scampi, which was a tiny order for the plate it was served in. I felt so horrible for him because he has a man's appetite and only got a few pieces of shrimp with dry noodles :/ FOR $22. I couldnt find anything that sounded good to experiment with so I decided to play it safe, and ordered the "pepperoni pizza appetizer". Which was 3 squares of old dry pizza. I seriously got pizza that had been in holding for a long while, the sauce was drying out because of how long it had been on hold to serve. Do you guys notice a common theme here? DRY. DRY. DRY. for a small price of $14. For 3. Small. Dry. Squares. The atmoshpere inside was comfortable, but they claimed to be air conditioned... it was cooler...
