Mediocre food.. Ordered Togo food and was overcharged. When I asked about it nobody could explain the extra charges. Haven't been back. Hope that $5 was worth a regular customer.

This is a fake Mexican restaurant.First impressions are everything, and this place was very weak on that front.The exterior look like a rundown Italian restaurant with neon lettering.The inside was okay'ish.I waited for 15 minutes before receiving service, or even a simple "hello".Finally they brought my drink as I waited for a friend to arrive. Once my friend showed up and was seated, we talked for about 35 minutes, whilst waiting for our orders to be taken. She didn't even get a drink during this time,, As there were no waitstaff in the dining room!!!When I ordered Tacos de Asada. The waitress asked if I had even eaten here be fore, I answered "no". She said "the tacos are really wierd, they aren't what you would expect". I ordered them anyway.It took 23 minutes to receive our food order.The food was an absolute poor excuse for Mexican food.Poor service attracts poor business.I will not be back.

Staff was friendly. Food was OK, but not the best Mexican I've had. Cost more than I expected. Beautiful little town though.

Service was great. Food was horrible. Dry chicken. Ridiculous amount of beans added to plate after specifically saying no beans. My order was not made the way it said in the menu. I will never eat here again. A complete waste of money. Left hungry and short 20$.

I always enjoy eating here! It's my favorite place to eat in Abbeville. The food is always delicious and the service is great and friendly! I definitely recommend!!

A Mexican restaurant that plays country music and has a deer head on the wall. If you want a place where you can eat and be embraced in spanish culture, go somewhere else. Food was basically gas station quality and service was worse than a Waffle House.

I always enjoy the food at this restaurant and the service has been great! Everything we have tried has been good. The atmosphere is nice as well, and I especially like the window seat.

We've been here twice. You'll find the standard Mexican food combinations, which we crave from time to time, and everything is freshly prepared and tasty. The complimentary chips are crisp and the salsa and guacamole both have good flavor. Staff are always friendly! No one wears a mask so if you're sensitive, just protect yourself. Good place...

Had a good meal and enjoyed the restaurant. Want to give it a higher rating,  but was bothered by the fact that none of the staff appeared to be wearing masks. Had I not had COVID recently, I would not have eaten there. Maybe the staff has been vaccinated and I wasn't aware, but there seemed to be little concern among the wait staff and other patrons.

The food was terrible. The cheese dip was water. I was sick for 2 days after leaving. Does not recommend.

I mean the waitress has bugged us twice about if we are ready to order.. clearly I'm still looking at the menu.. online says they have steak and eggs got here they said they don't nor did they have sweet tea .. I came here for Mexican steak and eggs but couldn't even look at the menu without feeling rushed so I just ordered a taco and rice

Have been here a few times since my initial review & was told over the years they've had a few different cooks. It makes a difference! While it's not the best Mexican I've had it isn't bad. I don't care for their steak. It's full of gristle & well done. Their pork fajitas however, are awesome!!! I think I'm just gonna stick with those for awhile. The service is always great!

I love going to Maria’s in Abbeville, SC George is super nice and a runs a top notch restaurant. Savannah is a great waitress who is always smiling. The food is wonderful too

I love this restaurant. I go at least twice when I'm in town and their food is delicious. The margaritas are awesome. The staff is friendly and they always have great attitudes! I recommend stopping by here and getting some good food!

Ate here today and got there at 220 . They did not take out order to 245 and said lunch was over so I had to pay for dinner price. You could barley get any refills on drinks and food was not the best. I paid over 60 dollars to eat and I could have ate at a steakhouse for that. Service was not good and food was way to high for the quality.

Used to be great but has severely gone down hill- everything is very greasy now. Their salsa is usually cold, and is never hot or spicy   Even something as simple as mozzarella sticks is now mozzarella grease slime.

I have been here 2 times and the service and food has been excellent! We will be making this our go to Mexican joint in Abbeville.

The food in my opinion is typical for mexican restaurants around here. However if you like spicy salsa, ask for the spicy one. They don't just bring it out without asking. It is by far the best spicy salsa I have had in the upstate! If it was bottled I would buy it to keep around the house. Delish! Honestly, I'd drive the 45 minutes back to them just to order the salsa.

By far, the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten in. Actually, I wouldn't even call it the Mexican restaurant, because they obviously have no concept of what Mexican dishes are, neither how they are to be presented, nor prepared. From the get go, the chips were stale, as if the oil they have been fried in needs to be changed,  or they are simply premade and have surpassed their expiration date.  I inquired about the portion of a bean burrito to gauge how hungry I was. The server's response, "I hate when people ask me that." I apologized, and asked if it would be filling enough in her opinion. She flicked my rolled silverware and said "it's about that size, you might want some rice and beans with it." So I decided to take her advice and add a side of beans and rice to my burrito. Our meals come. My mother's combination plate was so full of lettuce, soggy might I add,  that you couldn't even see the food beneath. She nibbled at her chalupa and burrito, but the sad,  mushy-excuse for the tamale was left on the plate.  It also didn't come with the husk, so you can't really call it at the tamale, can you? My plate, which was even more pathetic than my mother's, displayed a sad little pencil of a bean burrito, which was not only the size of silverware, but 2 inches shorter than the average fork. This for $4.50. On top of that, they charged me $2.20 for a scoop of bland, crispy rice, and an additional $2.20 for a splash of beans that looked like something my dog dishared, on a bad day. I ate my food, and so did my mother, because we were hungry. We had been at the hospital for 5 hours straight and were simply in search of some simple, nothing-spectacular, comfort food, but this place missed the mark by a few hundred miles. The servi...

Nothing like a giant bowl of cheese with meat and more cheese, can't get enough cheese. Comfortable place, friendly atmosphere.

We come here when camping at Calhoun Falls for lunch. We have not been disappointed at any time. The owner is a very pleasant person. We will be coming back on our next visit.

I HAVE to give this place the lowest possible rating and here's why: I am new to the area and some of my coworkers told me about Maria's.. and from what they told me, I expected the food to be pretty good but boy, was I wrong...I went on my lunch break during the week and when I walked in the entire restaurant was empty...I STILL stayed to eat. The server/host was very nice and friendly. I ordered the taco salad and it was DISGRACEFUL! The bowl itself was cold and greasy, no golden color whatsoever...the beef and beans were just bland and I've personally had better from Taco Bell...chips and salsa are mediocre but the salsa is a bit too runny for me and had no substance to accomodate the chips....however they do have some pretty appealing drink specials and despite the negative of my visit, I must say I enjoed my Dos Equis 16oz draft for under $3.

Used to work here so I loved the food & came in to check it out and say hello to old friends. Sad to say it went down hill real quick. The best part of my meal was the rice. Waitress didn't even tell me her name, didn't smile once, or say hello, and was rude. Waste of time and money.

The last 4 times I went to stupid to fix what you order who has ever heard of a cheese quesadilla with lettuce & chicken & cheese quesadilla that had tomato & bell pepper on it no Bean Burrito that was ordered ! Go to El tenjano in Simpsonville better food & never been mistake on my order also at Honea Path quesadilla twice the size less money no mistakes on the order ! WILL not ever go back !

Service was ok but the cooks were super slow...we ordered 2 cheese quesadillas with rice, a large cheese dip and a bean dip. Took like 30-45 mins to get and still didn't get the bean dip....things are not like it used to be in there....

This is a wonderful place to dine in, wonderful people, wonderful staff, and great atmosphere. I've eaten at many Mexican style restaurants over the last 16 years and this place is as good as the best one I've ever eaten at! Thank you Maria's for calling Abbeville home.

It's pretty good but too expensive. I can get same order in Greenwood or Anderson for less, and it tastes better. Almost every time I've placed an order they have gotten it wrong in some way...and they don't care.

Take out order was wrong AGAIN. Called to tell them and they could have cared less. Tiny portions, cold food. $30 for 3 meals that we couldn't eat. This was the last time for us.

Yum yum yum. Try the marinara sauce enchiladas. Not good Mexican but I'm sure they could make a great spaghetti and meatball.
