If you are expecting Lawry's level of service and a quiet atmosphere like Fleming's then this is not the kind of establishment you should visit. But if you're looking for an authentic Mexican experience with Spanish speaking servers, loud mariachi music, and bustling families/friends then you will enjoy the fantastic food they serve here. It's not decadent, there are no garnishes, but it is damn tasty! I spent many years in Boyle Heights and many years after that reminiscing on the delicious food. Ever since finding this place, I haven't looked back in desperation. The nostalgia is still with me, but Mariscos El Ostion has solved my problem of not having local, fresh, delicious seafood at the ready!
